Evaluation Question 5: How did you attract/address your audience?

 

In order to attract my audience, I needed to construct my magazine in a way that would appeal to them. To do so I looked at my research into the genre of 'Punk Rock' and used aspects of the Punk Culture to incorporate into my magazine this would be recognizable and therefore appeal to my target audience.

The graph below shows how different aspects of my magazine were influenced by the audience’s expectations of punk rock, in order to attract them. 

Was I successful in attracting my audience? 

In order to gain honest feedback I decided to show ten people who classified as my audience my magazine Front cover, Contents and Double Page Spread and them two questions which I then displayed as a graph. 

I would say I was successful in attracting my audience as the audience was recognizable as 100% could identify that it was a unisex magazine, also 90% of the audience said that they would buy the magazine, the one person who said they wouldn't said it was because they don't buy magazines therefore I have successfully made the magazine attractive to the audience as they would buy it.
